The sudden death of one of Nigeria’s successful blogger/writer, Abdulhakeem Bauchin Bauchi, in Bauchi state, has hit the social media after he was declared missing.

According to his family members, Abdul whose writings centered on Human Rights was killed, body chopped into parts by unknown persons and his body dumped on the roadside. He was scheduled to have his wedding in a few weeks’ time. Meanwhile his friends have taken to Facebook to mourn his death.

His brother, Aminun Bauchin Bauchi, took to his Facebook wall to pour out his tribute to his late brother which was done briefly in English and the major part of the text in Islamic writings. He used the medium to mourn his dead brother, adding that may Allah forgive him his sins and may the perpetrators of this evil act be apprehended soon.

According to Wikipedia, Domestic violence (also named domestic abuse, battering, or family violence) is a pattern of behavior which involves violence or other abuse by one person against another in a domestic setting, such as in marriage.

A young man residing in Awka, Chinonso Ikezulumba, won N10million in an ongoing Airtel promo and fainted during the cheque presentation.

According to Joseph Akelicious who shared the story, yesterday when Chinonso was invited to the firm’s Awka office to pick up his cheque, he thought everything was just ‘story’ until the Airtel guys brought out both the dummy and real cheque. Chinonso fainted but came to after some minutes.
He said that he is a petty fashion goods trader at Nnewi but that his business has since collapsed. He had prayed to God over the Christmas to give him N10M to start his business again and just like that, the money came via Airtel promo.

He was accompanied to the Airtel office by his mother and two sisters and said he plans to get married in May, and that he had already planned it before the Airtel windfall.

Therefore, any organisms that are introduced into the rectum have a much easier time establishing a foothold for infection than they would in a V@.g!na.
“The single layer tissue cannot withstand the friction associated with penile penetration, resulting in traumas that expose both participants to blood, organisms in feces, and a mixing of bodily fluids.
“Furthermore, Erupt has components that are immunosuppressive, designed to allow the sperm to evade the immune defenses of the female. The fragility of the anus and rectum, along with the immunosuppressive effect of Erupt, make anal-genital intercourse a most efficient manner of transmitting HIV and other infections.

“A list of diseases found with extraordinary frequency among male homoS3@.x:’ual practitioners as a result of anal intercourse include viral hepatitis types B & C, anal cancer, human papilloma virus, isospora belli, microsporidia, chlamydia trachomatis, cryptosporidium, giardia lamblia, herpes simplex virus, Human immunodeficiency virus and gonorrhea.

“Gay men contract syphilis at 3 to 4 times the rate of heteroS3@.x:’uals. A study based upon statistics from 1986 through 1990 estimated that 20-year-old gay men had a 50% chance of becoming HIV positive by age 55. As of June 2001, nearly 64% of men with AIDS were men, who have had S3@.x:’ with men.”
According to medical psychiatrist, Dr. Apu Chakraborty, homoS3@.x:’uality has damaging effects and people involved tend to experience more mental health problems than heteroS3@.x:’ual people, saying that discrimination may contribute to the higher risk.
“These higher levels of psychiatric problems in homoS3@.x:’ual people call for greater efforts at preventing the issues arising. Whether or not discrimination is the cause, mental health problems have previously been found to be higher among homoS3@.x:’ual people. “There are a number of reasons gay people may be more likely to report psychological difficulties, which include difficulties growing up in a world orientated to heteroS3@.x:’ual norms and values and the negative influence of social stigma against homoS3@.x:’uality,” he said
But a relationship counselor, and a trained psychologist, Dr. Candyfidel Okoye, said the major issue with gay community is that they operate in secrecy and do not know who to confide in, adding that they have the feeling that when they confide in you, the person will betray them as they find it difficult to live with the stigma. He noted that a number of them want to stop but do not know how to go about it.

“Having discussed with quite lot of them, I can say that the major reason for the increase in the practice is economic gains. These people are known to be helping members just like the lesbians. They have society and they all have their signs round time.

Even though homS3@.x:’uality is considered to be a crime in Nigeria, some people still engage in the practice that can get one 14 years imprisonment, according to the bill signed into law by President Goodluck Jonathan.
In this report, Emmanuel Stephens, a graduate of Theatre Arts, University of Calabar, tells his story to Chijioke Iremeka. He talked about going to South Africa in search of greener pastures, but was forced into homoS3@.x:’uality by his late Master, Johnson, a gay, whom he served for four and quarter years.

“I was forced into the practice by my master, who was a drug dealer. He gave me all that I needed just to be his partner. As I speak, the man is dead though his death was not connected to the pervasion; he was killed in a drug-related incident in 2014. After his death, I was next in line, so I had to make haste to return to Nigeria.”

He also talked about being forced into the fraternity, according reportedly
met a doctor when he came to Nigeria, for the second round of anus suture, he knew his time was up, following the doctor’s counseling.
“So, when I came back to Abuja, I continued the practice until I met a Christian doctor, who was supposed to suture my torn anus. The doctor had done it once and the second time, he had to counsel me on the dangers of homoS3@.x:’uality and advised me to quit, which I paid no heed to. I treated him with some level of contempt but on that very day, I had an issue with my system, and he gave me an option of repentance or death.
“When I was given such options, I chose life than to die and gave up the practice but it wasn’t easy at first because the doctor made me go through a psychologist and psychiatrist as a way of reforming me. After that, I had a new lease of life. I had been wearing adult pampers to prevent the feaces that regularly oozes from the anus because the anus has widened and cannot control defaecation.
“Really, Satan has a way of subjecting the ignorant people into perpetual bondage. I thought I was a ‘big boy,’ spending money at will but I was dying gradually. I don’t know how I got into such. Women didn’t appeal to me then. I played the female character.

Rare and exclusive photos of Adolf Hitler allegedly recovered from his mistress' bunker have sold in auction for $41,000.

An unidentified buyer purchased the photos, many of whom show a different side of a man whose name is synonymous with evil.

In one, Hitler sits comfortably in a deck chair on the veranda of his villa in the south of Germany, reading a document.

The album was acquired by a photographer in 1945. He saw a Russian soldier take it out of Eva Braun's bedroom drawer, shortly after Hitler and Eva committed suicide, leaving little doubt about its authenticity.

Eva Braun and Adolf Hitler married April 29, 1945 and committed suicide together the following day. She was a photographer and an assistant to Hitler's personal photographer in the years prior to her death. The album of photographs was auctioned by Royal Tunbridge Wells in Britain.

The Nigeria Army says five of its officers have been killed while three others have been declared missing in the Boko Haram attack in Magumeri, a town in Borno state on Wednesday evening.

A statement released by Brig. Gen. Sani Usman, the army spokesman did not however disclose the names of the officers affected.

Boko Haram members ambushed the soldiers who were returning from a shooting range competition in Munguno. The statement from the Army reads

“Troops chased the fleeing Boko Haram terrorists up to Doho, Mina Maideni, Donari, Salari, and Lawari villages. After hot pursuit and mop up the troops were able to neutralise an unconfirmed number of Boko Haram terrorists and recovered 1 gun truck, 2 anti-aircraft guns, two extra barrels, two rocket propelled grenade bombs, 31 pieces of Nitrogen 57mm bombs, 1 roll of nitrogen cable and a 60mm mortar bomb. Others were assorted general purpose machine gun and anti-aircraft ammunition and their links, three spare vehicle tyres with rims, 1 vulcanising machine, 1 Qlink motorcycle, foodstuff and three Boko Haram terrorist sown camouflage. Unfortunately we lost and officer and 4 soldiers, while 3 others were still missing”.

This has got to be among the top in the list of the saddest parental neglect story ever told. Beat FM OAP Osi Suave shared the story sent to him by a lady, revealing how she lost her mother when she was only five and her father proceeded to neglect and treat her poorly all through her life.

Prior to her mother's death, she said she noticed her father hated her, though she was only a child, she could sense it but did not know why. After her mother's death, her brother who was still very little was taken by his grandmother, making it impossible for her to have a close relationship with him, while she stayed with her dad who let his hatred for her increase and left her to the care of maids.

"My dad had this hate for me... I don't know what I did to him even when my mum was alive as a child I knew that this man didn't like me. He wasn't part of my life as a father. We had maids then who would frustrate me, won't give me food but I was too scared to inform my dad," she wrote.

With her brother gone, and a father who did not care about her, the girl became an easy target for predators. When she got raped by her uncle, due to the relationship gap between her and her father, she could not inform her father for fear of being sent away from the only home she had.

"Osi, my teenage years was bitter. I was raped as a teenager by an uncle. I couldn't tell anyone... I dare not tell my father because I know he is capable of sending me out of his house for getting raped."

The lady went on to get admission into the university, but even at school she had no reprieve from the life of being taken advantage of. She revealed that she had a problem with lecturers and cultists who wanted to take advantage of her because she was beautiful. She ended up not graduating because of the travails resulting thereof. She had to run away from home afterwards. Prior to that, while in search of fatherly love, she got into a relationship with a man who abused her often.

"I seeked (sic) fatherly love outside. I fell in love with this guy who I dated for 6 years. I was looking for a boyfriend and a father in one. My ex would beat me, call me all sorts of names, even tell me I have a useless father who cannot look after my wellbeing."

Filip Kwasny, 7, from Colchester Essex is dying as a result of Leukaemia and the little boy has made a final request, asking that he be buried with his mother so she can look after him in heaven.

He made the wish from his hospital bed in Great Ormond Street Children's hospital in London where chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant has failed to cure him...

Doctors have lost hope of saving Filip now that the cancer has spread to his intestines so they are simply giving him palliative care to make him comfortable as his life comes to an end.

Filip's mother died of cancer when he was two years and at that same period he was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1. Luckily, he recovered from that but was diagnosed with juvenile myelomonocytic leukaemia (JMML) in September last year. JMML is an accumulation of abnormal blood cells in the bone marrow.

His father, Piotr Kwasny, 40, is trying to raise £6,500 to bring up his wife's coffin which has been underground for five years and bury their son with his mother.

"He says that I'm his angel that is looking after him here and that his mum will look after him when he is in heaven,' Piotr said from his son's hospital bed. "I don't know how well he remembers his mother as he was so young when she passed away, but he has visited her grave when he was well enough to speak to her. Filip wants to be buried with his mother so we will need to organise that locally and re-bury them together. He wants her to look after him. I will only be able to take Filip back to Poland myself."

Piotr himself is ill with spina bifida, one kidney, diabetes and hypertension (high blood pressure), so that means he cannot work and does not have the funds to meet his son's dying wish.

Generous strangers, who heard of the boy's wish, have been donating to make it possible for him be buried in the same coffin with his mother. Yesterday, Filip sent a personal thank you from his sick bed to all who have helped him. Despite being barely able to speak, he said:

"Thanks for helping make my wish come true."

As is expected from a father about to lose a child, Piotr is saddened by the end that awaits his son soon and laments that his son will not live to do a number of things other kids get to do.

"This is just a very stressful and distressing time for all of us. I did not imagine that I would have to bury my child... you shouldn't go before your child. There is a bell in the Fox Ward outside Filip's room. Ward patients ring the bell three times when their treatment is done and they are leaving. Filip, my son, will never get to ring that bell."

An employee of McDonald in Doral, Florida, rescued a policewoman who suddenly became unconscious upon arriving at the restaurant.

The woman, an off-duty Miami-Dade police officer, pulled up to the drive-through and paid for her order then when the employee, Pedro Viloria, returned to the window with her food, he noticed she was having difficulty breathing.

Pedro jumped through the window to check on the woman, who was in the car with her two children, and found her unconscious so he ran back into the restaurant to get help. Luckily, he found a customer who was a paramedic and she quickly went to work on the woman, performing CPR and using an automated external defibrillator to revive her. Soon after, an off-duty Miami-Dade Fire Rescue worker came into the store and joined in helping.

The moment Pedro jumped out of the drive-through window was captured by a camera and was released by a Miami-based station, WPLG. But Pedro is unwilling to take credit for saving the woman and said the fire rescuers are the real heroes.

"In that moment, I thought, 'I'd rather save that woman's life. I see she's, like, inflating her neck, like trying to breathe, like 'ahh,' and basically I thought something was going wrong." he told WPLG

He continued,

"The real heroes are the fire rescuers."
